Cut from the same mould as the Microlight jacket, the Microlight vest uses body mapping and advances in Pertex Quantum to provide light and rapid warmth where you need it, and now in a more sustainable package.
The Pertex Quantum ripstop material now features a DWR finish, helping to shed water and protecting both you and the down for longer in wet conditions, whilst remaining highly packable. The 700FP hydrophobic down maintains the warmth-to-weight ratio of the previous generation whilst continuing to perform well in damp conditions, ideal for British conditions or multi-day trips where drying opportunities are few and far between. To top it off, the Pertex outer and lining are now fully recycled, in addition to the GRS-certified P.U.R.E recycled down.
Rab have further improved the warmth gains with an updated body-mapped design. Using strategically positioned micro and nano baffles, Rab have concentrated down around more exposed core areas, and removed bulk from high heat areas such as under the arms, improving mobility without compromsing on warmth. Additional improvements include a snug collar for sealing the heat in, comfortable easy-stretch arm holes, and 3 harness compatible pockets that keep essentials in reach even with a rucksack on.
Now more so than ever the Microlight vest delivers as a grab and go layer, whatever the adventure.
It’s not just the materials that have changed. Using body-mapped baffle technology, Rab have strategically positioned micro and nano baffles throughout the vest. This intelligently distributes the down, trapping warmth around the core of the body and keeping high heat areas, such as under the arms, cooler and less bulky for increased mobility, without compromising flexibility or weight.
